Enforces data localization requirements, oversees the National Cyber Shield (NCS), and audits critical infrastructure compliance.
CNI Category A
Designates and monitors landing stations along the Red Sea and Mediterranean, coordinating military-grade protection of cable assets.
Global Engagement
Manages bilateral agreements, participates in ITU proceedings, and coordinates with regional telecom regulatory bodies.

Presidential Decree No. 89 of 2026 defines the governance structure and decision-making authority of the Council. All appointments are subject to national security vetting procedures.
